Dear customers, dear friends,
Eroica Valkenburg 2024: the “Tour de France Femmes” edition
We travel with the Eroica Valkenburg into the past and let ourselves into a bygone era of cycling! A unique cycling event that offers vintage bikes, classic clothing and a touch of nostalgia for us vintage cycling enthusiasts.
Since 2016, cycling enthusiasts from all over the world have gathered on a beautiful day in picturesque Valkenburg aan de Geul to take part in this unique cycling event. The atmosphere is characterised by incomparable charm and everyone has the opportunity to shine in authentic retro cycling clothing. From wool sweaters to braces and butterfly saddles - everything you can imagine from back then can be admired during the Eroica Valkenburg.
The main attraction of Eroica Valkenburg is of course the cycling tour itself. This year we are paying tribute to the "Tour de France Femmes". The ultimate race in the calendar of professional women's cycling, whose (starting) stage location is Valkenburg in August 2024.
This year you can choose from three beautiful routes through the hilly landscape of South Limburg. While you have to/can ride on the old roads and climb the hills, you experience the Eroica Valkenburg together with people who, like us, share a love of cycling and a passion for traditions.
There are numerous scenic stops along the way to enjoy local specialties and handmade drinks. During the Eroica Valkenburg you not only enjoy the scenery and your fellow travelers, but it is also an excellent opportunity to enjoy the rich culture and hospitality of the region.
A cozy atmosphere awaits us at the finish line in Geulhem. With a delicious local dish and a tasty, cold beer or a good glass of wine, we will look back on a great day on the bike with the other Eroica riders. Of course, there is also the opportunity to get hold of vintage cycling clothing, bikes and parts to further expand your collection.
Eroica Valkenburg is a tribute to a rich cycling history in a region that, together with Belgium, was the cradle of professional cycling. It is a tribute to the pioneers of yesterday whose perseverance and passion laid the foundations for what this sport is today.
As fans of vintage cycling, we will definitely not miss the Eroica Valkenburg.
Therefore, the workshop and the shop will be closed on Friday 28 June and Saturday 29 June :)
On Monday, July 1st we will be there for you again as usual
